How to remove paypal option from listing?

Hi folks
I have just read a post which says you should never accept paypal for an item which is collection only.
Stupidly, I listed a large item at the weekend. I have revised the listing to say I will now only accept cash on collection but I can't find a way to remove the paypal option to pay. Is it possible?

Also, I have reserve price on listing, although I am willing to sell slightly under it. Question is, if it doesn't make reserve, and I offer to highest bidder, are they obliged to buy?

Ebay is great, but why so complicated? (or maybe me just daft!)

    1) you should be able to click onto your auction and in the top left hand side it should say "revise item" and then click change payment preferences and you should be able to remove paypal from the listing

    2) The buyer is not obliged to buy the item as they are not the winning bidder so it is just like offering them a "second chance offer" and the buyer can decide to buy or not

    Hope this helps

    Thanks slowen for info.
I have been into 'revise item' but I cant for the life of me see how to get paypal off. There are a couple of bids, so maybe that's why. I have just added a note to the description, and hope buyers read it!

Ah, you can't change the main details, including payment info once you have bids.

Also, you will have problems if the winning bidder wants to pay by paypal as it will show as the first option on the invoice and your added text cannot override your auction conditions. I would also warn you that showing paypal is accepted but then refusing it later in the listing is a mark of a scammer, so although you are obviously not out to scam you may find bidding is not as good as it migh tbe as seasoned buyers will steer clear.

All you can really do is email the current bidders and explain you have made a mistake and will therefore be pulling their bids and either revising the listing or ending the listing and relisting later.

    Thanks again soolin.
Can I maybe just ask for your help again please?
I have emailed the buyer as you advised, and pulled his bid.
I am now on the relist bit, and just cannot see how to get paypal off the list of payment optionsl.

Going round and round in circles getting nowhere fast. Maybe I need to pull the listing altogether? I don't really want to do that as I have watchers.

I can't think...I'm trying to do it here as I type with one of my auctions and for me all I have to do is remove my paypal address from the paypal box and untick the paypal option. I had to open up the payment method section to do that though.

Sorry, I meant to say revise instead of relist in last post.

I still had no luck on the revision page, so just pulled the listing and did it all again.
Costing me another listing fee but safer in the long run, I suppose. I never thought that somebody who collected an item could then go on to say they never got it!! Some folk eh??
    Thanks for all your help
