static caravan advice needed
Hello, hope someone out there has some experience of this.
20 years ago we bought a caravan and had it sited on a static site in Wales, the new owners of this site have just sent a letter stating that our contract won't be renewed and they will be towing our caravan off its pitch and stored until we remove our bits and pieces at a cost of £500.00.
Can they just do this - do we have any rights here?
Thanks so much for any help you can give!

They can refuse to renew the contract (assuming there is a termination clause in the contract).
But you should be able to remove your caravan yourself, rather than be forced to pay their removal charges (unless this is also covered in the contract)0 -
Many sites do this with older caravans after 7 / 10 /20 years to keep the site free of older homes. There should be something in the original contract as to age and costs

Hi, littleD, it might be worth going onto a forum about caravans and holiday homes.
Try caravansitefinder.co.uk they have a forum on there and some of the members are site owners. Hope this helps.
