having recently moved house 6 weeks ago, we asked bt to supply broadband and landline. the house we moved to has a bt line and previous tennents had a working landline.. ( i checked this when we viewed the house and also with the owner of the house.).
anyway 25th of sept was when the line would be on... and broadband a few days later.. i recieved the hub from bt... plugged in on said day... nothing works..
i phoned bt, they say they are sorry and will look in to it.. this has been going on for weeks now..
first i was told i had plugged the phone in wrong????
next i was told that a fault had been reported
now it appears that there is no line for us to use??
i live in the sticks in a row of about 6 houses, no new builds in the 2 weeks that they moved out and we moved in...
so now they have to put a new line in the ducting was supposed to have been done on friday. i asssume this is the casing which holds the line.. well nothing that i could see was done and i did drive up to the exchange as i have everytime they are supposed to be doing work and never seen anyone..
bt phoned on friday to say that the engineers will come and put the line to the house in soon.. to which they were told that there is already a line to the house. i am at my wits end. openreach where supposed to phone me within 24 hours. that was last week..
sorry to go on but i feel better for ranting..
thank you for reading this and any suggestions will be gratefully recieved..
