its all a bit scary and he doesnt seem to take it even alittle bit seriously! in fact he has told me off for interferring!!1

Yep that's true! Once inside, they have free rein to break open drawers and desks, cupboards etc. And also, once they get in, they are allowed to visit again and this time, break in if necessary, ie: once they're in, they have authority to break in next time!
