as suggested, do some searches
try to do this before posting
we have atleast 3-4 laptop broke blah blah blah help posts per day
half of which are dsgi
it helps if you searched these, pick up as much info on soga as possible then came back to this thread to finesse your understanding
sorry if i seem rude, i dont mean it in a harsh way but imagine what its like writing out the same detailed info to everybody who posts this....
consumer direct will be a good helper of yours:)
at a gues
im saying hp dv series?
mont likely 3000,6000 or 9000 series .......Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
soga?
i have bee looking at this site for 30 mins and have found notm uch relivant to be honest, its easy to quote "search" but there all different to mine
advent 5401 and i have no hair eft ive pulled it all out, i use it for my work mobile internet and auto diagnosis equipment its caused me much serious problems going without0 -
soga = Sale of goods act...perhaps?....google is your friend? 30 mins is not a lot of time to spend searching on here.0
-
i apologise "the sales of goods act" = soga
as for searches "faulty laptop returns 300 reults" at least 4 on the first page are directly applicable to your situation ie you can take the advice and links as if it were given to you (obvs with the odd word and detail differentiating) all the rest may have bits applicable to you
http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html
that has most the stuff people will tell you
just construct a letter (worth consumer directs help if you wish) stating you wish to reject your laptop as "not fit for purpose", not"of satisfactory quality" and not "durable"
state that this act entitles you too repair/replacement/refund (you cannot decide) and that you feel the repair has been exhausted as the problem continues to persist, and so you are requesting another solution either replacement or refund which ever is more viable.
be warned though
the retailer is allowed to chose to give you a partial refund(deducting usage of laptop)Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
My advice is to try to put together full sentences.0

thanks for that bfg
well called them had a bit of a moan and the minute i said sale of goods act he ended the convo and said i have to tank to customer services, so i called them and totally got no were and which she replied.... do you want your laptop repaired or not !!! so i said yes, theres collecting it tomorrow
i wonder how long it will last this time. i tried but got nowere i presume there used to people saying such things0
