Ha..what I was going to suggest, however that would still be plugged into the socket.
I think it's bum idleness not to turn off electric sockets when they're not needed.:money:0 -
WE have similar problem with a Samsung 26" LCD. I bought a device earlier this year that plugs into mains and attaches to it and you use a remote to turn off but it uses as much power as the lcd off. I got it from Argos in Jan sales.0

I just think it's terrible that things are designed without an off switch, how wasteful is that?
I have a stereo which we can't reach the plug of, so it is permenantly plugged in but at least we can switch it off.0
