Fading Laptop Keys Problem

The letters on my Acer laptop keyboard have started to fade through constant use, and so I was wondering if you can get replacement stick-on letters to place on the blank keys? The reason why I am considering this alternative is because my warrantry on the laptop has ran out, and so do not think I could afford a hefty repair bill, if replacing a keyboard is as expensive as I fear (is it?).
So can I buy stick-on replacement laptop keys?

You can often replace laptop keyboards fairly easily yourself. It just depends how much Acer will charge you for one. What model have you got?0

Truegho, if you cannot replace the keyboard yourself then it would be a bit expensive.
yes you can buy stick on letters and numbers.cheapest place would be ebay prob cost you a couple of pounds for a whole uk keyboard layout.
have a good look around on there to see what there like.
great saving to be had there

Tippex may be a short term solution, I'm not sure if you can get white permanent markers
It seems you can, I'm wrong

I do it all because I'm scared.

i used car wheel paint pen once, worked a treat
used for paiting over writing to make it stand out etc......
reasonably inexpensive and durable once dried
its just tricky to do it neatly in the first placeBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
You should be able to find a replacement keyboard inexpensively, online – possibly on eBay.
There are plenty of them. People drop laptops all the time and often the only thing that can be salvaged is the keyboard.
Then download the manual and fit it yourself.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Dip a toothpick into Tippex and since the letter hasnt totally faded, you can fill in the parts which have worn down. When its dried, go over it with clear nailvarnish.
Important: Dont blob on too much nailvarnish, though, because it can cause the tippex to smudge and will cause a mess (even though it has dried).0 -
If its an older laptop you should be able to pick up a keyboard for under £30 on Ebay.0

Quite a few keyboard sticker sellers on eBay.
