I know that this is going to sound very petty to most of you, but I am sick and tired of getting "ripped off" by Ebay members who know that because your item is of low value, there is nothiing you can do.
My husband and I ordered from a seller abroad a small keyring torch for both of our boys as stocking fillers, the items were only low value - £2.50. Anyway my husband ordered his after I ordered mine and his arrived in time for christmas. I emailed the seller enquiring about my item and he just kept on telling me that he had sent it out. Many emails have passed between us - me enquiring about my item and him keeping on asking me to check if it had arrived. It is now over a month since I placed my order. I mailed him yesterday politely asking him to either replace or refund. I have had an email back off him this morning saying "it is only the poor who would rip somebody off, if you want, we will send out a replacement".
My blood is boiling now. How dare he suggest that, I am neither poor or trying to rip him off. I just don't like being ripped off from sellers when I have used my hard earned cash to line his pockets. My husband and I lost quite a bit of money to a DVD seller on Ebay a couple of years ago and nothing could be done, it was a large scam and the police got involved.
I have told him not to bother sending the item out and that I am very angry with him, I have also told him that I am going to report him to Ebay and will leave negative feedback. If he leaves me a negative, can it be removed as I have fulfilled my part of the bargain.
I know that this may sound petty but why should people like that get away with it? It isn't just mine that has not arrived, several people have claimed that they never received their goods. I take it that I have 90 days to leave a negative feedback. How does it work, is it time related or just day related?
I feel a little bit calmer now that I have just written this and got rid of some of my anger. Thanks for listening.

I know this may sound a bit awful to you but why argue over an item that costs just £2.50, I know it's the principle of the matter but remember the Royal Mail has such a poor record of delivering mail especially around the Xmas period and this is probably where the problem lies, especially if you didn't pay for recorded delivery on the item.
I doubt if e-bay would remove a negative feedback, otherwise everyone would try to do it.0 -
I've had load of parcels go missing with Royal Mail - causes loads of problem with ebay buyer as your all aware!0

I'd probably write it off too (but I'd still be flaming angry
), but what if this seller's done it to say 100 people? If one person brings it to the attention of others, isn't that in itself worth it?
£2.50 is a lot of money to some people isn't it?0 -
Thanks for your replies. On reflection now that I have had time to calm down, I will probably just leave it as it isn't worth the agro for £2.50. What does annoy me though is the fear factor of leaving a negative feedback in case he retaliates. How many other people are like this? I have had numerous occasions when I should have left a negative for poor service/goods but have been frightened to leave one. Ebay should change the way feedback can be left. We had somebody buy one of our buy it nows and then 3 weeks later when we contacted them about payment, said they didn't want the item. When we did a search, they were selling the same item on an auction and theirs was ending shortly. Our item was the cheapest buy it now at £15 and their auction was up at £12. After our item was bought, theirs went for £22. We haven't left them feedback yet.
Sorry for the rant. I feel much better now.

report them as a non paying bidder......
dont leave feedback until you have your fees refunded by ebaysmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

There is a 90 day rule for feedback. :-/
As ebay is run by computors, the time WILL run out 90 days to the second that the auction ended.
Don't forget though...... in his defence, he said he posted it (mail DOES go missing, and you cant prove he didnt send it).
He has also offered to send you another one, which YOU dont want now, because you took offence to his remark........ so
any feedback would say what ?? :-/
he answered your mail, he allegedly sent the item, he offered to send another ???
he's beginning to sound like a decent trader compared to the eeejits I seem to find on ebay :-/If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

Ebay will not remove negatives from your feedback so please take care when comtemplating this.
If you feel you absolutely must leave a negative, wait until 90 days is almost up, say with a few minutes left to spare and leave it then. He will be unable to post a neg for you then. A sneaky way of doing maybe, but if you feel sufficiently hard-done-by.
I personally would have accepted the replacement and just lived with the fact that I was genuine, even though he thought differently.I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0 -
You will note elswhere on here I have had delivery problems too.
But one parcel arrived today from the US posted on 8th December by Priority Mail delivery in 4-6 days. So I wouldn't get too worked up just yet, it might not be your sellers fault.
So either claim non delivery through PayPal or chill.
Check his feedback and check for when an item was bought and feedback left not foolproof but might give an indication of how long thibgs are taking.0 -
I've been robbed by a guy who went by the name of " Kroagnon 123". I do have his address. He cashed my cheque and never sent out the item ( £12) He refuses to answer E mails and has left E Bay so I can't leave any feed back. No doubt he's registered under another name. I've tried the arbitration system but he doesn't reply to them either. That's the first time I've been robbed on E Bay and I'm wary now.0
