I might be stating the blindingly obvious but you've used 472 units since April 27.

    30 days of May + 3 in April = 33

So (30 * 472)/33 is about 420 units in May.

    What tarriff are you on?

It's about average, I think normal households use between 10-15 units per day and your usage works out at about 13.8 per day so it's not excessive. Obviously it depends how many people/appliances are in the house etc.

I think if I'm reading your figures right the first 108kwh used a month are charged at 16.164p(since the price rise) and the rest are at 8.397. If that is right then the 420kwh used in a month will cost-

    108 x 16.164p= £17.46
    plus
    312 x 8.397p= £26.20

    So £43.65 used.

I'm sure you can beat this tariff, have a look at a utility comparison site when you get chance.

The question asked refers to the fact that your bill details you posted only shows 108 + 998 units. What was the distribution for the other 913 as they do not seem to be on the bill.

How long was the 174 bill for? If it was quarterly (3 months) it looks about £40 too high to me, if less than quarterly it is well too high. But, you have read the meter in May and your usage may have been lower than the previous two colder months.

    Nightmare, isn't it:rolleyes:

Have you given your supplier an updated reading? If not then do so and see if your bill drops.
