Need to balance transfer - Which card?

Hi, I currently have a Barclaycard Platinum which I owe £4400 on. I'm looking to do a balance transfer to another card for the interest free period. My credit score as of today is 960 provided by experian. This is good, just shy of an excellent rating. Could anyone tell me which card I'm likely to be successful in applying for and one which will give me enough of a limit to do a BT? I tried to get a Virgin card back in February, but I was declined, however I didn't do a credit score back then so have no clue what it was.

Many thanks.

Bear in mind that the credit score means nothing. Every lender scores you differently, based on their own criteria.

Hi I currently have the Virgin(MBNA Credit Card). ( I Don't recommend it)

It was the Best 0% interest deal. I have had to be very vigilant with my statement. Several admin issues. Generally sorted when I've been on the ball. Things like, payment date changed so my DD was too late, and once payment is defaulted you have to start paying interest. (Virgin did reinstate 0% interest although I was at their mercy as I had broken the terms of the agreement).

I also have payment protection and have just discovered that once you are out of the 0% on purchases period you will be charged interest on you Payment Protection Cover. And I thought I was being vigilant.

Whoever you go with be very thorough in checking your statements.

    How did this happen?

A DD is a variable date, and is "pulled" by the card company rather than "pushed" from your bank. If they payment date changes, they'll change the collection date.

Yes I thought that might be the case... Was hoping I can somehow find the right card to apply for by meeting said criteria.

The problem is banks don't disclose their criteria.

The best products are offered by the banks with the strictest criteria.

In that case, paying for a credit report is a total waste of time and money.
