How have you got on? Did you email the seller?
Thanks for asking - yes, I've just emailed him/her. I've just told them that it's damaged and would like a suggestion as to where to go from here. It does state on the auction that they don't accept refunds but I guess I have statutory rights here - is that right?
They have >750 feedback, 100% positive so they don't appear to be doing this very often! In fact one or two of the first page's responders comment on how well packaged their goods were!0 -
Hi there I must say one thing here for you that the most of the items you see on the online auction websites are not accurate only the best sites give you the best services and quality! ebay is a quality site but you cant trust until you buy any thing from the seller!
You bought that thing just for 2 pound which is i think not god but anyways next time you should check the profile of that seller and check the feed back carefully!
Cheers!0 -
Morning all,
He's written back and offered a £1 refund. Bearing in mind I can't use the item, £1 is purely going to go towards the £5-7 I'll have to spend at a retailer.
Problem is, it wasn't his fault it was knackered by RM! He did point out that it was in mint condition in the photo on the listing so he does have a point!
Any advice please helpful people?
Thanks :beer:0 -
How much will it cost to send it back to the seller? (recorded delivery...)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
It's dead light so probably a quid - maybe £1.50?0

It would still be in mint condition if the seller had packaged it properly for sending.
I would start a paypal dispute, send item back to seller and get a full refund. Its not your fault it arrived damaged and if it wasn't packaged correctly its not Royal Mails fault either. That leaves one person the seller.0 -

Exactly!! There is no point in him saying it was in mint condition when it was still in his posession, he is responsible to get items to you in the condition he advertised, that's the service you are paying for.0 -
So is the concencus that I should insist on him accepting the item back then?0
