gosh i cant help you there thriftlady mine was allowed anyway so i was lucky some places make life hard as if maternity isnt worrying enough without financial worries too, that boss sounds very tight i would check things out first i used the union a lot at work and remember some of the days leave you will accrue during mat leave itself so may not need to carry too many over, good luck i hope everything works out in the end.(ps: what about sick leave if desperate!)Thriftylady wrote:I had thought about that, but I can't carry this years leave over to next year, so I have to take it before my maternity leave instead......my boss even tried to tell me that I couldn't take it before my maternity leave either, as other staff already had their holidays allocated, and no leave was available. err....don't think so!
