That's the best price I know of - Amazon and Play are both £165. Only other option would be to wait until it has been launched, and see what the stores that aren't doing pre-orders will do. Argos for example should give you a £10 voucher off whatever their price is. But with this being the same price as a white one (maybe with an extra game or 2) it seems like a good deal tbh, if you must have black...

Argos is £180 so no good - Toys R Us is the best deal for it. I got mine today and also Wii Fit Plus (just the game, you need to have a balance board already) for £16.49 which is the best price I know of. They say the Wii is out of stock online but check your local store.

As the current RRP is around £179, you will be hard pushed to find it cheaper than Toysrus.
The only thing to look out for are bundles that may make it more attractive. It depends what you are looking for though as some of the games in bundles are often older ones that are cheap anyway.
Toysrus have black bundles, one of which is the wii fit at £224.99. HTH.
  • I find it strange that they are still trying to retail this for £160. If you shop around, you can get an XBOX 360 for less than £150, and it's a MUCH better machine. The Wii is just so........Gimmicky?

I kind of see what you mean. There were rumours of a price drop for this autumn which never came, instead it was bundled with sports resort instead.
Would i be right in suggesting they are aimed at different types of gamers, with the x box being for the more serious gamer?

The wii is just a different machine. No better, no worse, just different.

We have a wii and a PS3. The PS3 is mainly used for dh to play COD4 over and over, and also to stream things from pc to watch on tv. The wii is used for fun family afternoons with the board, or something silly on the controllers, or after the kids have gone to bed it has a very good arcade style version of house of the dead which is great fun.

They're aimed at different markets I think (I know you were talking about xbox rather than ps3), but the wii was well worth its money in this house and with many other families I know. We're all up and about and active and having fun, rather than glued to the the screen on your own giving yourself 'the claw' from too much gameplay!

    ** whoops, cross-posted with above sorry x
hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried
