Natwest Annoyance!

Just phoned Natwest and am now trying to calm down

I have an Advantage Gold account with them, and i have now been charged £28 for them taking the £12.95 out on the 29th when i get paid on the 30th. I just spoke to an advisor who told me that charges come out 21 days after the statement date, and that i could change the statement date - if i'd have known this i would have done!! I then went through to another department to talk about the £28, and he was just saying that it's always been the 29th since March (?) and that i haven't complained before, well i haven't been charged £28 for their charges before! He started saying that i had, which i know full well i haven't - other things coming out before they should perhaps, but not this.

Do you think i should write a letter of complaint seeing as i didn't know i could change the statement date and that its 21 days after the statement that charges come out? Surely i should have been told this!

No, I don't think you would stand a chance at a refund and I would add that the advisor should have said that the change would take effect two months later since the charging period would already have started.
    Time to reclaim the charges.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
