Flights to Orlando - Aug 2010

I'm looking for flights to Orlando around the 7 August for 2 weeks for me my wife and 16 year old son. We'de like to fly direct from Manchester but can be flexible. Is it best to book now or wait until later? The cheapest I can find at the moment are direct at just under £700 each which seems a lot to me. Any help or information will be appreciated. Thanks

we have been quoted 530 for flights to sanford orlando for next year... they are also premuim you get your own check in and you go on the plane first except disabled and children, sit in a smaller cabin in front, you get free drinks [any] all through the flight and you get of first aswell, also bigger allowance on bags,, its brill we have done it four times and not been dissapointed if you want to go without premium we were quoted £397.00 so get phoning and enjoy yourself we go back 2011!!! instead cant wait

  • TerminalA.co.uk have flights for 615...but i think if you wait you will get cheaper as i cannot see any uk airlines available in the search...ie thomson monarch virgin etc
  • hi palmera,
TermialA's cheappest came up at £650 for me with i think continental airlines. So do you recon if i hold out a little longer the UK airlines will start to put up their flights and they should be cheaper? any idea as to how long this will be?

UK airlines flights are up, Virgin, BA, thomas cook, thompson etc and all still very expensive.

Continental airlines have a codeshare with virgin, if you look at their direct flights for Aug they are actually virgin flights and some dates quite a bit cheaper.

Unless their is a miracle sale with the direct prices I won't be going back until 2011.

    Have you looked at flydrives?

I've booked a hol to Florida next August and was really struggling to find anything for less than around £700 - eventually I booked a flydrive with Thomas Cook as I had a £50 voucher as well. So my flights are about £602 each, I'm flying from Manchester too.

So I've got our flight, a car and accommodation for about £800 each, which I was pretty pleased with - though I think we're going to not bother with the car, haven't decided yet though.

They were loads when I first started looking in Sept, they were about £500-600 each, kicking myself I didn't book!
