Hi I want to be debt free but am struggling. I have written to all my debtors offering a monthly repayment. However one (typically it had to be the worst one) want the whole debt repaying immediately. They are saying they're not willing to take monthly repayments. Which I can't blame them. My ex fiance said he was sorting the debts but wasn't. I know, I know, I'm stupid but I was suffering from serious depression and couldn't even bare the face the world and was suicidal.
Anyway we've split up now and I'm trying to get it sorted. However as they want the whole amount I need to get the money ASAP. My parents can't help me so I need to get a loan. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a decent loan company that will accept people with a CCJ. I don't really want to get a loan but feel like I have no other choice at the moment.
Also does anyone have any other hints or tips to help get out of debt?

How much is your debt exactly? The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

It's £8748.70. But I do have other debts that need clearing which aren't as much.0

That is a very repayable amount. I think you need to look at your debts as a whole. Why dont you post everything on here, all your income and outgoings and all your debt and loads of people will come on and advise you what to do for the best. Its best to bring it all out in the open. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

You can't go bankrupt for that amount. Tell them if they don't accept a monthly payment you'll go bankrupt (it isn't Amex/Mbna thats being a thorn in your side is it!?) Just cal their bluff, you aren't really gonna go bankrupt but if they thin there's a chance they might have the debt written off I can guarantee they'll be a whole lot more accomodating!x0
