Panasonic Plasma 42G10 + Blu Ray Savings

Was looking to purchase a Panasonic TX-P42G10 plasma tv and went into Comet to see the tv in action. Comet had a good deal on with both the Panasonic S10 and G10 both with Blu Ray Player (750 for S10 and player, 850 for G10 and player). The sales person seemed to know his stuff but was trying to sell me the cheaper of the two deals (S10) claiming that the S10 had just as good a picture and better contrast rate stating 2,000,000:1 whereas 40,000:1 for the G10. This sounded strange, I almost did the deal on the cheaper tv but decided to go home and check the details between the two. It turns out that both tvs do have a 2,000,000:1 contrast rate but the 40,000:1 is the native mode but the S10 has a 30,000:1 native mode, no real difference, so salesman was wrong and misleading. Have now bought G10 online and did deal with 5% comet voucher fom myvoucher website and rest through quidco, totaling £780 for TX-P42G10 and BD60EB-K blu ray. Also worth noting this blu ray comes with offer from panasonic to get 7 blu-rays when sending off voucher with till receipt. (fab, over £70 worth of blu ray movies). Anyone else got a good deal like this?
