You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
    You just keep on walking

Is there a Dulux centre near yoiu ? They have dozens and dozens of wallpaper books and often staff can recognise a sample, or picture, taken in and whip out the correct book.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

To be honest, your wasting your time trying to patch it up,especially the ceiling.
Even if you find the wallpaper, it will be from a different batch & look odd.

Steam/scrape and peel. Looks a bit dated now IMHO and i'd remove it all (each to their own i guess!) ...then again i willingly paid for an artex ceiling (a broken leather pattern - nothing too regular) and most of our ceilings are covered in woodchip (was like that when moved in) so what would i know lol. I've yet to attempt removing any of the woodchip as i'm worried i'll damage the plasterboard behind but i'm sure your textured paper will be far easier to peel off!

Screwfix do a scraper like the one above plus the spare blades - though ensure the scraper has the 3 screws like in the pictures above as some only have one and so more prone to blade slippage/breakage.

It probably won't work out much more even if your plasterer has to skim the whole ceiling. Not a huge amount of difference in labour involved (not for a pro anyway) and plaster is cheap.

Had chimney breast removed and it was the same like yours, could not get paper to match it. The painter was going to remove the paper, religned and repainted for £190. After removing the wall paper he found the ceiling plaster was in good condition and was new (recently bought the house). It only needed to tidy up a bit and painted over at a cost of £140. How much did you pay to have your chimney removed? Thanks
