Equifax but one day ordered the Experian one and found out that on that one I was financially associated to my ex! God knows why either. The only thing I can think of was she was on my car insurance!

Did you pay the insurance by insyalments, thus having credit with the insurance company? Otherwise they are being pretty cheeky financialy linking you for insurance.

Also i remember people asking for a signed copy of the account contract or debt, if they cant provide this the debt gets written off.

    :D

This does not write off the debt (IE not having a signed agreement) in all circumstances. But in any dispute it is 'the' place to start.

No it was all paid in one lump at the start! I can only assume it was down to that as I can't think of anything else where we had both our names on the same form even though she was only a named driver!
