Hi Amber do you know what the debt relates to? Did lewis group give any information that you recognise? If not then I would send the prove it letter rather than a CCA request - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=11570893&postcount=2A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Yeds we do know who they are but I thought once it's been passed to someone else they have to provide the cca I have a feeling it's statue barred but obviously need the cca first0

No it is not right.
If they are collecting for someone else, then they have a legal duty to pass the CCA request and fee on to their client.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thank you Fermi I thought as much.. Is there a template letter please for me to send to them regarding this or can you advise?0

Their reply is as follows
we refer to your letter yoiu making a request for information under the consumer credit act 1974.
Please be advised that we are not the creditor in this matter and we are merely
Instructed on their behalf to recover any outstanding balance due.
We therfore refund your 1.00 and suggest you submit your request directly to the creditor with the creditors address0 -
