sharing bingo winnings

Me my wife and daughter go to the bingo and usually we give one person the money to buy all the books. We have been doing this for years and if one person wins we split the winnings 3 ways. This was OK until Sat night as the most we have ever won on a night was about £300.
Then on Sat night my daughter won £1000. So she makes comments about stopping splitting the money etc then says she is just kidding.
So we get to her house, I drive her home and go inside to divvy up the money £333 each, she gets the extra £1 because she won it. Of course her partner asks why she is splitting the winnings and makes a comment about how we get £666 and she gets £334.
Sun. they come to visit and my wife is upstairs, when she comes downstairs daughters partner makes a remark about sitting up there counting your money.
They leave without grandson who only comes to use my computer and daughter's partner returns later to pick up grandson and hardly speaks to my wife, I was out.
My wife is seriously considering telling my daughter that we won't bother splitting the winnings as this always happens though not as bad as this time, but there is always the faint suggestion that the deal of splitting the winnings 3 ways is unfair to my daughter as we get 2 shares and she gets one.
What do others think? Just buy our books separately and not split the winnings.

personally, if this were my husband and I then I would have done as your son in law said, split it between two.0

She is being unfair. Tell her to keep the money and either stop going with her or decide not to split winnings.
I cannot believe someone could be so petty. My wife once won £2500. She spilt it 4 ways with no hesitation. One set was a couple and yes they got more then my wife between them, but they also spent more on books.
Personally I would stop going to bingo with her, but that is me.0 -

Do you go to bingo? You either spilt fairly or you dont. Those are the "rules".0 -
If it was agreed beforehand what would happen with any winnings what can they complain about? Unfortunately, greed gets the better of some people. Its really sad, especially in family, pety arguments shouldn't be started over such things.0

It's amazing how people can agree to split equally when there's nothing to split but once there's a reasonable sum involved any previous agreements are thrown out of the window.
In you and your wife's situation I'd not go with your daughter any more and just buy your own books in future.0 -

In bingo you split evenly with all parties as agreed before hand. If this doesn't happen then buy your own books and do not share your winnings!"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like its heaven on earth." - Mark Twain0

If you (as a couple) pay for say 2 books and your daughter pays for 1, then payment is split fairly 3 ways so you should split any winnings in the same way and receive twice as much as your daughter.
Her partner may be just miffed because the winnings were higher than normal. Does he moan if you only won £100 and it was split same way?
If it continues, then you and your wife join as a couple and keep any winnings for yourself, and your daughter pays for her own book, but keeps any of her winnings for herself.
That way it would be fairer and her partner couldn't complain if you won and didn't share as I dare say, you wouldn't if your daughter won and kept it to herself.
What does your daughter say?0 -

Maybe so, as I said I don't play bingo it bores me rigid. However, I would much rather see my child get the greater share than me. Just my opinion and that's what OP asked for.0 -
If you daughter only bought 1/3 of the books she's only entitled to 1/3 of the winnings.
If she stumped up for 1/2 of the books she's entitled to 1/2 the winnings.
Simple really.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
