UPVC or Aluminium double glazing

We are thinking of replacing our Crittal windows with double glazing. Which is best aluminium or Upvc? What are the pros and cons?

Aluminium will be more expensive, but it looks more modern & you can get it in any colour you want.

Our Aluminium Double glazing at the back has lots less problems with condensation than the UPVC units at the front, but I think thats probably more due to the individual design rather than the material used.

South facing windows will have a lot more problems, are your UPVC ones south facing?

Our house is southwest facing - what would be the problem with UPVC if we went down that route?
