printing with green tinge

I have been successfully printing some invitations out for my friend and all of a sudden the picture (which is mono) is now printing in green. I have changed the black cartridge as I thought it was low in ink (although the text is still printing fine), could it be that the colour cartridge is now low and will not print the picture in black even though it is a black picture ?? the picture and the text was all in Black so I donlt really understand why this is happening.
Can any of you help with this please ?? I'd be very grateful. Many thanks in advance of your advice.

It sounds as if the colour cartridge could be dodgy. Try printing out a colour photo or other picture and see if it suffers the same

Would be interesting to see what happens if you choose to print in B&W instead of colour from your printer options.0
