I think the G&E forum as a whole has, after much deliberation, come to the conclusion that their cheapest tariff, Online 5, actually doesn't have a cancellation fee, BLF. Of course, DYOR as EDF's T&Cs are bizarre to say the least. But this online 5 tariff is hugely cheaper than the standard tarfiff...

I applied for EDF switch earlier this morning, saw no sign of Online 5. only Online 3 with a stated "maybe a" Cancellation fee.

Also worth noting that EDF very cheapest tariff is not availiable in some areas e.g South West.

Just compared Online5 with Online3 and in my area and with my usage, online3 is cheaper by about 5% but there is an exit fee of £50 for dual fuel customers who leave before 31/12/10
My switch to EDF Online5 (from SP) was completed on 05/10/09 but I am now tempted to switch to Online3 saving another £63pa.
My £60 TopCashback for switching to Online5 has been confirmed but I'm wondering if this would be affected if I now switch to Online3 ?
What do you think?

Their is no exit fee for leaving Online 5 early.

Wont make any difference to the already confirmed Cashback IMO.

Im delighted that someone else has confirmed that Online E 5 isnt the cheapest tariff for everyone/everywhere. :beer:
