Hello,
Can anyone suggest as to why my "SYSTEM32" has just started to load up every time I turn the computer on?
I have been into the "RegEdit" and can't see anything.
Any suggestions would be grealty received.
Many thanks:o

This can be fixed by downloading and running VBScript file from line 260 "System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot" of http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm.0

Hi Chippy_Minton, thanks for the suggestion.
Tried it but it could not repair the problem as it could not find the expected registry entry.
Any other suggestions?0 -
Hi Davey,
Try this MS article --> http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=170086. Be careful as it involves modifying the Registry. Also, it doesn't tell you how to run the Registry Rditor; to do so, click Start - Run, type in "regedit" without the quotes in the Open box and click OK.0
