Actually there have been some reports of people paying their mortgage payments on a Credit Card. It really depends on the mortgage provider.

Certainly there are people on the stoozing site who have made mortgage payments on their Credit Cards.

They may not like the idea, but may be able to talk them into it by suggesting it is a "one-off" cashflow situation.

Good Luck and let us know how you get on.

Most lenders don't allow it. Give your lender a call and they will tell you.

Its always interesting that some people that have been on MSE for a while, give a reply based their personal knowledge, which then turns out to be false!

It isnt just a case of if the mortgage company allow it, but also if the CC company allow it. MBNA dont allow it directly, but you can transfer the funds to a bank account to pay it.
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Complete rubbish oscar, if the mortgage company accept a credit card for payment and the payment is taken, it goes through!
