Can you get them to put family dates (birthdays. anniversaries etc) in to the calendar - my parents do this themselves and it is invaluable (although there is the drawback of having a calendar with their pictures on display each month....

I don't know yet as I am doing the books 1st (you can put text under whatever pic you like so you could do a story book for a kid if you had a plan and took the pics) but I would have thought so....yhe software downloads in a few mins and is so easy to use..I even used live chat and they sorted out my thiick enquiry.

I do this every year as cheap pressies for people....I start storing the special offers from about September onwards!

I do use ones where you can input the dates in so that they appear on the calendar, very much needed as the boys father has such an atrocious memory for birthday dates of his own children!

I also get Christmas cards this way too....use the 10 cards free offers and just keep doing it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

There was a hide shop at one of the shopping villages, wonder what happened to it?

There are LOTs of ways to diversify, but like most businesses, you need to spend a little to mke a little: if you are on the breadline in the primary industry there is nothing, money nor man hours, let alone education and experience to diversify with. IMO it comes bck to the same circle that FC123 faces in here work: but what we do with our soil, our ground is so very crucial because its going to outlive all of us, I hope. Getting it right/wrong today can mean the difference tomorow: only we look so closely at the next few years that ..(lir sighs, stops typing mid rant and relaises no one cares, while meat stays low in price so people can afford the othe r''essential'' costs of living and the understanding of longterm is to short...:o:rolleyes:)
Abbatiors......I have read about them and saw the 'good' one on Telly with G Ramsey...and that was a good one. I am def townie as the whole killing thing makes me want to go veggie.

Would you be able to set one up? I imagine it would be hard to earn a good living from them...how much does it cost to kill a cow?

N'ah, its because the frequency of the train service coming back out can be pants. and believe it or not, off peak, at least the distance I do, not sure if that would continue all the way, is sometimes quicker, and often cheaper than by rail. I kid you not, its cheaper for me to py CG and park sometimes, than get the train.

I am so derr..I only just found out that I am one of the mugs who pays silly money for off peak train fairs as I just go to station and buy ticket ~(as one has done for 35 years :o) when I was told you can buy online and get then @ 80% less or something.

In fact anyone know a good link?
but seems crazy that the train costs more than fuel, congestion charge and parking

Yeah but - you could afford the £8 she knew it was gonna cos her £69. Would it still be cheaper if you knew you were gonna pay £69 quid?

No: I don't think I could now: if I'd done it ten years ago I would have had the stomach for it. At the moment a lot of my energy is sent saying ''no'' to DH and my mother about pigs. I couldn't even think of driving a pig to slaughter now. Silly? No, Hypocritical : yes.

The other day, when that dog got Bluebell the chicken I didn't dispatch her because I was hping she'd get past the shock, but even then I think a part of it was my own disgust at the act: and I know I'm good at it. I wouldn't dream of letting DH do it: his moment of hesitation would be there, I won't do that to them :( One goes soft. I wonder if the same happens to people who leave the services after seeing atrocities, if its a sort of coping mechanism with ''normal'' life in the west? would be an interesting thing to learn about.

I can;t tell you how much it costs to kill a cow now, but I could make a call tomorrow and find out if you want?

Generally have to buy a few days in advance to get the cheapest ones.

If someone can dig up the address, I might be passing in the next 3 days and could drop in for a bit of PN sniffing about her cupboards and shrieking "HOW MUCH???" at her.

I'd be sporting my best "in total £10" outfit ... so presentable.

Actually, I have a choce of line, but one of them yes, if I left in the morning I would have as much as thatleft over. Nuts, isn't it?

I prefer the train, if its time works with mine, as I can read, relaxnot get all excited about which route for least resistance: but certainly, if I'm doing anything with people in the evening car is only answer anyway, really. For DH we drive further to other cheaper line, which I could get the £8 pound out of, but not the £sixty. In fact I'd probably work out the same on journey cost now, with fual up, but ten, I'd save a hotel cost, being able to come home that night in my car.

Peak train fares are ridiculous (then again, I pay it)

Your local train companies (between brighton and london) would be southern and first capital connect. Use their website to look for trains and book tickets and you can collect at station. Southern are having a 50% sale at the moment for off peak fares
