Making sense of a periodic inspection report for a house purchase

Dear all This is my first post. Please can any electrician advise? I am trying to buy a 5 bedroom house built in 1910 and have paid £230 for an inspection report. Getting this report in was timeconsuming, as the electrician needed to go in twice to the property, once for the report and again to quote on the work required.…

Lots of people are out of work, including bankers, and labourers, and I'll bet you anything that self employed people, including estate agents and electricians are SHORT OF WORK.
They will see how committed you are and depending on your reaction then wind up the price or walk away or adjust their price.
I just had by bathroom done, the quotes ranged from £5000 to £1800 for the same work.
