ING direct 392.84 vegas .spending money for a friends
wedding already paid for.

thats it all my house is also for sale and with the sale i will be paying of secured loan but the house i am buying will take this payment in for the mortgage. Broadband for second address is needed as spend equal amount of time at both addresses and having it keeps me in i would be out spending in the bar without it. I have no bills at second address as work cover that also food so only pay for when i'm at home and at the min i could live of the contents of my cupboards and freezer for about 3 month so the £20 is for bread and fresh fruit and veg . would like to keep savings as like the idea of something to fall back on. christmas and birthday presents are coverd for this yr as i have put into a christmas saving fund and this is paid in full .

Anyone any ideas on saving me money

    HI there

welcome! im ready, but first a few questions.

Is it that you live in one place and work in another property that the work pay the rent on? But you have bills for both places?

    Ah, I see now.

Hang on, lets have another look. Is it just you, single person, no kids or anything?

Also, do you know the APRs of the debts, you'll find this on your statements, once we know this , we can look at snowballing.

Can you shift your credit cards arounds and take advantage of 0% interest for a while? Every little helps. Plus if you can then balance transfer you'd have them all in the same place on 0% interest, and could then pay off the £165 you spend on your different credit cards reducing the balance rather than just paying the interest off.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

    Hi there,
What im wondering, is why are the bills so high in the address your not living in? I could think that if you are not there, could you get an evening dial up package, say? and the bills should be less too, could you get even a key or prepayment meter for the short time you are there? this could save you quite a bit of money Id have tohught... any way, lets see what else :)

    gas 23.50 AS ABOVE
    elect 20.00 AS ABOVE
bt 48.50 inc broadband for second address ( this is quite high. You could drop down to bt landline & something like tesco, or madasafish both under 14 quid.

loan 49.85 central heating i had fitted end 01/11/2019 ( can you overpay this, whats the apr, I bet this ones quite high)
secured loan 210.49 will b paid of when i move house ( are you seling the house you arnt living in then? And staying in NI?, so as soon as the house sells, you wont need to pay this...? Is that right?)
council tax 68.00 ( on the house your seling?)

    virgin c/c 21.41 0% till nov out satnding 3413.33

    tv licence 10.991st address

yes i am single with no kids. no when i sell my house will still have most of the above as buyng something bigger just lookign for ways of cutting back as would like more savings for a rainy day the loan for 49.85 is very high so could look at geting a cheaper one british gas rip of merchants. been looking at uswitch for cheaper providers can 't go on a prepay as still have freezer stuff so would be worried about it running out when i'm not thier

Also is it worth having savings when still having credit? or should i put this to paying some debt of. i'm overseas for approx another 12 month tried the renting the property out but had a bad experience yes buying a bigger property all as an investment for when i leave and get a real job. the £60 saving is just to give me a back up. need my vagas savings to get to £500 but don't plan on spending all that just a saftey net

    Servalan,

IM jsut thinking this through. If you are buying a bigger place is it going to be more expensive? WHy are you doing this if you are not living in it. Surely it would make more sense to just save the money instead of paying out for a mortage & bills for a house you wont be living in for over a year?

Sorry i jsut dont get this

HAve i got the wrong end of the stick here?

I think you should check with the TV licensing people, I don't think you need to have 2 licences to cover you for the 2 properties if there is only yourself to watch the TV.

I'm sure someone will let you know if I'm wrong.
