                    Hi Folks
I've found some old family Video tapes and got an old working VCR, I would like to save them onto my laptop and then burn onto discs.
My laptop has windows moviemaker, but I'm looking for the correct cable to use to transefer the data.
The VCR only has 'scart lead and RF out' connections, is there such a cable that would plug into scart lead or FR out and then into a USB port please, or is that being rather too hopeful and simplistic
cheers
Baz

An example of what may be needed. You may find cheaper and/or better.0

You need a video capture lead like this one:

EDIT: which is exactly what Donnie just posted!0

It states that this product needs the following to work...
 Minimum System Requirements
 - 1GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent for DVD
 - Available Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port
 - Windows 2000 or XP
 - 128MB RAM
 - 500MB of free hard-disk space
 - CD-ROM drive (also works with DVD or Blu-Ray burners)
 - Sound card, speaker, and microphone required for audio recording
Anyone know if it would work with an Intel Celeron 2.70GHz/1.50 Gb ram.........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

Well the processor and ram you have are ok so as long as you have Windows 2000 or XP, a USB 2.0 port and more than a 500MB hard drive then I really don't see why not.Always looking for a bargain and to help0
