Leaky roof

Hi looking for some advice please we have a leak coming from our bathroom ceiling, it is a constant drip and has only started this morning (we have had a lot of rain the past few days) my husband has had a quick look and said there is no obvious damage obviously he is not a roofer just wondering if there is anything we can do to try and stop the leak until we can get a roofer and also does anyone know if roofers charge a call out fee if its a Sunday?

Thanks

Is this the main roof not a 1st floor extension etc

Trouble with leaks is its not always obviously where it may come from as water travels unless its obvious like a lost slate/tile. You can get quick fixes but if its 1st floor you will need a proper ladder and judging where we are today its not the weather to go outside particularly as its very windy

Its a downstairs room but it is an extension, the old roof aand new roof join and there is a channel which has lead sheeting on it the water is running down this and it does seem that this is right above the leak so think it may be the lead sheeting which is damaged or maybe even moved. As you said the weather isnt great to be out in and dont really want my husband messing about on it too much hes a bit clumsy!! Just if there was a temporary measure until we can get a roofer
  • Is the roof extension flat or pitched?

You can get waterproof paint/spray not sure how good it is

You can get a self adesive lead flashing that works well the lead you have may be cracked patch it if you can. or paint with thick black tar paint
