Gas cooker point

Hi all

I am trying to redesign my kitchen, and we have just had the boiler moved from the kitchen to the airing cupboard. My (probably rather stupid) question is:
Can a gas fitter use the gas pipe that used to run to the boiler to connect up the gas hob on my range?

Just want to know if it's possible before I design the kitchen of my dreams and then realise it is not possible without massive amounts of disruption and work.

Cheers

Comments

  • I would think so. just needs a the correct fittings.
The pipe needs to be the corect size, should be in 22mm and the gas pressures need to be checked on the appliance. Thats up to your gas fitter to look at and check.
