lauralou - I've read a couple of books that say the same thing, and we've followed the approach of regular bding (every other day which is what my dr advised) though it has been less post-ov. One of the books was by Prof Robert Winston who knows his stuff...DH made me buy that book as he thought the one I was reading was a bit quackish!

I am going to test tomorrow, as according to last 4 cycles (since i came off the pill) AF is due then, although I wonder if my cycles are lengthening. If I get a bfn (which i'm expecting) but no AF can I drink over xmas or should I wait for af?

Sorry I've not caught up, hugs and babydust to all xx

I think it's because sperm can live for (think) up to a week inside you, so the more bding you do in the general time around ov (as in week around it) the more chance you have of getting a swimmer!

    I love Prof Winston:p
Is it 'Making Babies' or 'Getting pregnant'?
    Should I buy it too?

Only BDd 3 times this month:

    1. Right after AF
    2. 2 days before ov
    3. On the day of ov

    Not much chance here then:o

lauralou; I do agree with that study to a large extent. Most fertility consultants recommend BD'ing once every three days...in practice though I certainly couldn't be bothered! I'd be cream crackered. (although that's probably because I'm an oldie at the ripe age of 37, nearly 38).

I don't know if I get the award for the being the eldest on here yet; is anyone gonna own up to be older than me?????

    That's me..I'm 40 :o

Fuzz - score me off please luv. AF got me in the early hours  and put me down for 22 Jan please. Ta :D
