I think their is a thread on here somewhere about catching a loose hamster so maybe you could get some ideas off there.

Kindof- just sticking my nose in (ignore if not relevant) But although I find the arnica cream very useful when DD bumps her head etc, I found that the tablets were much better for post partum healing as I didn't even dare touch anything 'down there'. I took as directed and also put lavendar oil in the bath and I healed mainly within a couple of days and fully by a week (with a small tear and 2 large grazes) I feel they really helped. If the arnica wasn't for that then ignore me :D Other advice if you have stitches is ice pops put inside a maternity towel (much cheaper than the proper ice packs for the job, and easy to just cut along the bottom of the pad and insert the ice pop!)-not aimed at you kindof just generally iyswim. :)

mygorgousellie- you will be fine when it is your own, they all drive us mad at times, but other peoples children are soooo different to our own. I think it's because we don't hear their different cries etc like a mother would we just hear 'wah wah wah' but their mum hears "i'm hungry' 'im tired' etc. Also with your own you slowly adapt with them rather than being chucked in at 6 months iyswim. You'll be fine once they are born.
  • Also meant to say, PP and gymfriend well done on getting your ebay items listed. I have a few things that I want to put on but I sooooooo can't be bothered! Should have done them all weeks / months ago but just never seem to get around to it!!

Ooo, at antenatal another MSE way was to freeze the pad itself, but I think an ice pop might stay cold longer! As long as it doesn't burst and you have bright green sticky liquid running down your legs :rotfl::rotfl:

Aless, i think i'm asking for too much when i want stay put vibes but am adamant i don't want her to be overdue :rotfl:

    39 weeks today
I had my DS at 39+5 and my midwife said there's a high chance this one will come slightly earlier, so i really need to pack a hospital bag methinks

I don't want the pregnancy bit to be over yet :(

Going to try and have a productive day today.... Need to wash baby clothes, got about 4 wash loads to do.
Need to clean the downstairs of house, put Xmas decs up (ugh), iron baby bedding (might not bother with this though, hate ironing!), go shopping to stock up freezer - really wanted to get some mince type dishes made up for the freezer but got no containers...hmm.

Moron from eBay who doesn't have paypal due to lack of bank account finally sent me a cheque, funnily enough it's in his name too, strange how Lloyds let him write cheques if he has no account - lying toerag lol. I'm totally unimpressed, cos i'll have to go allllllllll the way into town, pay for parking etcd to bank the cheque on Monday, then wait for it to clear - there's a big chance i'll be in labour or just had baby by the time this happens so i'm going to be stressing about posting the item as soon as i get home from hospital. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo peed off with this idiot.

ellie i am the same when i look after my nephew, he's sooo clingy for his mother and cries the whole time i have him, and it drives me round the bend. Then people say stuff like ooh you'll have to get used to that! Err no not really, seeing as this ain't my baby and he's crying for his mother - my kid won't be crying for her!

you should've just refused the sale! What a moron.

99p store is great for cheapo containers for freezer foods :T

What's the point in ironing bedding?! Baby won't know the difference! The only thing I ever iron is work shirts/trousers :o

DITTO !!! , that may be why OH kids dont get on with me , i have no maternal thing for other peoples kids ,, but mine are different , have always been same since i was very young , its weird ,
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec
  • Oooh i am so glad it isn't just me. I am the same, there are very few children i'll happily look after. Even then i can't have them for more than a weekend. My DD, if she goes anywhere i miss her like mad even though SHE even drives me up the wall.

Well nephew has been here for 3 weeks, 4 more to go and someone please remind me never ever to say yes to this length of stay again. 2 weeks is hard enough for me as i like my own company alot. Plus i am skint, and pregnant which is already taking a toll on me. My sis-in-law loves to shop from morn till night, i'm left feeling ill, being sick and nearly in tears from back pain ad frustration, lol! My brother doesn't seem to understand as he keeps sending me emails to make sure i take her as many places as poss.

And sorry another rant...food bill has gone up 3 fold, and gas 4 fold....3 weeks has cost me £120 in gas on the prepaid card, YIKES and she is still blimming cold. Lol, i really am not having a good time at all. :(
