It’s lovely to read that some of you guys have baby showers – when my first two were born it wasn’t really heard of, well in USA, I think it’s a lovely idea to get together with friends and celebrate the up and coming arrival!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs armybike, so pleased the scan went well :j
Congratulations to Faye, Littlebit, Fattyboo(can I just get into Tobys neck for a snuggle please!), Boogelly and Charlie DavisGisi – Henry is just scrummy too! A good weight, my first was that and my second 9-2! Gawd knows what my third will be!!!
The EDD list is soooo encouraging – thank you for keeping it updated.:T It doesn’t seem long ago I was at the bottom of a small 2010 list, and within weeks, the 2009 list has shrunk and 2010 is getting bigger!!!
Anyway, doc has upped my meds and I’ve had a week clear of upchucking YAY! I’ve now written a healthy eating plan to get me on the rocky road of getting better which is focusing me more on what I’m eating as before it was toast or crackers etc so small portions of what is good, hopefully will help. Seeing the consultant on Tuesday but today I’m feeling a little more positive, but I have to say you guys really do help – thank you x
“Can't believe that this time tomorrow i'll be having my scan. It'll be my first ever 12 week scan (never got one with DS) so i'm mega excited. Just hope the hospital will allow DS and DH to be in with me whilst i have the scan.
We have a rule of only one person other than the patient in the scan room, in my hospital BUT we do make allowances when there is no way you could get childcare. The managers had to do this as some people bring literally their whole family and there just isn’t enough room and hard for the sonographer to concentrate.
How much water did you ladies drink before your scan? My scan will be at 9am so i'm not sure how much water i can hold before that time (on the letter it said to drink 2 pints 1 hour before the scan but theres no way i'll be able to do that).”
We tell our ladies, have a drink before you leave home but just don’t go to the loo again. Some poor ladies come in totally full and find it so painful and are moaning in agony, so I usually tell them if they have the control to release a bit to do so! You can often hear the relief from the loos!!!!!
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday - very wet in this part of the country. Was thinking of taking a trip to town, as I haven't been out properly for about 6 weeks!DS 17 yearsDD 16 years DS 5 years

Nice to see another vote for the thread "Bloke"
Also, it's a very good point that I can appear to be the most knowledgeable husband/partner and when Mrs AB has a twinge/ache/pain I can "understand" the reason why!?!
However, if Mrs AB ever joins this thread, this conversation never took place and will self destruct!?!
AB.
Hi Mr AB
How is Mrs AB feeling at the moment? Tired, stretching pains, feeling strange because there is no big belly yet so it is hard to comprehend a baby in there?
We have one man over on the parent thread, who is very involved in his child's upbringing. I am sure once your lovely bundle is here you will be very warmly welcomed over there too:D
I wish my dh would understand a lot of what I am going through while pregnant, he still doesn't and this is the 4th time I am doing it (well 6th if you count MC's) He is a good dad though and the kids love him
I am shattered even though I went to bed at 9.30pm and I can see this pregnancy is going to be quite hard Kai is crawling now so I do not get a second to sit down....he is constantly into something:rolleyes:
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
I know that feeling Mel, my two really tested my patience yesterday and by the time they went to bed i was exhausted
But by the time i laid down to actual go to sleep i was wide awake again  Didnt end up going to sleep til gone 1 and im now shattered again :rotfl:
Woke up feeling sick againThese new tablets they have put me on dont seem to be working
Is it really too much to ask for just one day when i dont feel sick
Going to get on and hopefully finish all the unpacking today theres not much left to do i just want to see the back of all the cardboard boxes now im sick of the sight of them :rotfl:
Som thanks for the friend request on fb just accepted youxx
Hope you all have a good day x
Grr n it appears that MSE still doesnt like me today back to using quick reply again :rolleyes:0 -
:eek:TMI Alert- Ew Ew Ew- just realised my left nipple is leaking!!!is that normal at 30 weeks?:o
Had quite a productive weekend, moved around the furniture in the nursery, packed away all of the nappies and wipes I have bought so far (waist height in wardrobe!) and started washing baby clothes. Also did some baking yesterday, will do a bit more today, finish my ironing, do the food shopping and see nephew for his Birthday.
It felt like I had a snake slithering around in my tummy last night, more shifting then kicking, I can now feel what is sticking out IYKWIM, I;m sure I had a bum sticking out at one point!
Been trying out the new car too, can't believe the difference with my old one. Only problem is it still smells a bit smokey but OH is working on getting rid of the seats, he loves playing with his Autoglyn products!
Can't believe how many babies we have had recently- I want to see mine too! Have now had about 10 people tell me there is no way I can go to 40 weeks as I'm so huge, which is worrying me a bit, I know she will come when she is ready, but I don't want her too early, but then I don't want to be late either.
I can't work out how to load up a picture so I can't show you guys:mad:
Hope everyone enjoys their weekendBoots: £107.xx on AC :j

Boo to your bro kindof, but yay for twilight tonight!
We're having pizza hut now, got ready to go out, went downstairs and saw it is raining horribly. No way im walking to McD's in that! So we ordered pizza instead
Ohhh I am on cafe worldadd me lol
I know Boo to my brother indeed!
Yes Som I am going to try, he hasnt offered yet, my mam has offered to pay £20 of it bless her so if Bro doesnt offer I think between us we will be sucessful in guilting him into paying lol
I am annoyed with MIL and FIL as well, FIL has a volvo a big long volvo and OH rang him yesterday to ask him to come and swap cars (we were in gateshead and FIL was in Newcastle) and he wouldnt come (He goes to newcastle every sat and does the same thing) so then he is trying to make us feel bad for spending £60 on delivery, he says we should have rang him again "hello!!! we already asked you to swap cars and you didnt!!!"
Fattybooboo he is gorgeous!!!!!!

Morning all,
Hope everyone's ok this morning
Kindof how exciting that your nursery will all be up and ready soon!
Welcome Mr AB & congrats to you bothYou seem like a lovely dad to be!
Gemma don't worry about everyone telling you you're massive, I think it's something people like to do to pregnant ladies, tell us we're too big, too small, too high, too low, we are public property after all!! I'm eternally told I'm too small, admittedly it worries me but hey, if the medical professionals were worried they'd say so
Sj glad baby is ok & enjoy Scotland
Almost joined you at the hospital yesterday, hadn't felt baby move for ages & got myself into a right panic. Hardly slept with worry but as soon as we were both up at about 8, OH started talking to him asking him to please move then out of nowhere we had half an hour of massive kicks as if he was trying to tell us not to worryMade us both realise just how much we love him already, I was a complete wreck!
I got this dress delivered yesterday from ASOS, it's gorgeous on, in case anyone is after something similar, it's a bargain price tooWearing it now & feeling decent for once! Just about to pop out and sort some carpet out, gonna do the stairs & landing while we're at it as the cats have made it filthy, then going out for late lunch with a friend which will be nice
Not seen here since about 20 weeks so she'll be shocked at the size of bump I think as I didn't have one last time I saw her!!
Ooh got 25wk midwife appointment in the morning too, on my Q list so far I have:
1/ Place of birth
2/ Matb1 form please
3/ Explanation of drugs available during birth
4/ Pain in pelvis
anything else anyone can think of that's worth mentioning/questioning? Im sure there's loads of other things I'd like to know/query but just can't rememberBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0
