    Morning:)

Restless night, partly due to whingy baby, partly due to fidgety dh with a bad back, and partly due to the umpteen toilet trips I seem to need lately! I have managed to get my bum into gear though and have emptied and loaded dishwasher and washing machine and tidied around the kitchen a bit.

Some of you were up late last night!

Kids are watching !!!!!!'n'Dom Diaries and have just had a big discussion with them as to whether the word !!!!!! is rude!

I saw Oasis before they became famous, in Liverpool. Liam Gallagher invited me to go sh*g him in the dressing room. I declined and told him his band was s**t and they'd never get anywhere.

Are you feeling less like bottoms this morning?

    Hello :)

    How is everyone ??
We had a really nice family day today and bought the tree and got it decorated with our hand made decs and lovely little traditional wooden ones that I found in poundstretchers and I have to say, my tree looks nicer than it has ever done !! Very traditional !!

Dylan has the most horrible sounding cough you have ever heard !! But no runny nose, no anything other than the cough, and it doesnt even seem to be bothering him that much, he coughs, wakes up a bit, makes a sort of ''eeeeuuuggghhhh'' sound and goes back to sleep !!

    Poor coughing dylan :(

Piccies of beautiful traditional tree please :T:T:T

re: toilet trips, mel, I've started a no drinks after 7pm and a very low salt dinner, and this seems to get me through the night with no wee required.

    Morning Weezlie :)

Feeling moderately bottomy this morning, somehow my sleep-on-the-sofa-avoid-the-wriggling-pair plan turned into Mama and Molly on the sofa, Molly hogging most of the space, while Papa slept peacefully alone in an enormous bed. He says it's because I didn't bring her back there after feeding her but I have my lingering suspicions.

How are you feeling? Sensible wee-avoidance there, I see.

But i'm not as sensible as you Weezl, and will probably still continue to have a cup of tea shortly before bed:rolleyes:

Tonight's suggestion. Papa and molly on sofa, and mama peacefully alone in an enormous bed?

If he grumbles, I feel your sexual abstinance with a member of the gallagher clan needs to be used as evidence of angel wifeness, and that he therefore owes you one :)

I'm feeling ok. Weather here is brighter which helps my mood. DH had 9 hrs sleep last night, so in my view needs to be firing on all cylinders, but alas, no!;)

My brother comes today to look after fergie tomorrow. I asked him thinking it would be good for their bonding, but now am a little worried as he is extremely inexperienced with babies!

I have promised him a 'briefing document'. But have yet to be inspired about what to write in it! :):o

If only, Weezlie :) Papa still has his drainage tube so needs the bed - and his sleep, which he is fortunate enough to be getting a reasonable amount of even as he claims he isn't.

I've never slept with ANY of the Gallagher clan, but I imagine he would point out that he's never slept with Madonna and the whole thing would degenerate into a discussion of opportunity and arguing that it only counts if you had the opportunity and so on. And the point would be lost :rotfl:

We're having a lovely time discussing Christmas food at the moment - OMNOMNOM meal planning an event like Christmas means that lots of culinary experimentation is required. I'm baking today to test the Christmas muffins, cinnamon and apple bread and rosemary-pine nut shortbread, and people are coming over tomorrow to give their opinions. He's doing a slow cooked duck this week and we'll test that too. I'm deliriously excited!

Briefing documents should probably contain things Fergie enjoys, things he is Not Allowed to do, and signs that he is hungry/tired/poopy. Also emergency phone numbers, but other than that I'm sure your brother will be incredibly cautious.

Weezl I'm sure your brother will do fine:) Is he able to contact someone at all time though, just in case he has questions. I would do a step by step of the day, inc feed times, nap times, play times and what he like to play what he doesn't like to play and how often to check his nappy etc....i'm sure you will write a great brief:D

SS - That is some christmas food planning:eek: I don't do anything like that, on christmas I just do the equivelant of a sunday dinner but with turkey on the day and usually have a shop bought chocolate cake of some kind for dessert:o Boxing day is usually beef and the following days are varieties of turkey and beef dinners:p

Ah! OK papa must convalesce (SP?);)

How do you add rosemary to a shortbread? Do you infuse the sugar or do you chop the rosemary very finely and add to the mix?

Thanks to Mel and SS for advice about the briefing doc, I shall write it now :)

Finely chopped, Weezlie, although infusing the sugar is also an excellent idea and one I may borrow depending on how tomorrow's turn out.
