1pminute, can anybody explain ??

I have tried a dozen times to use this service for calls from my land line to UK mobiles.

I am always told the call cannot be connected.

Yes I have used the country code 0044 !!

Any advice please ?

If you really want to use a gateway provider (I avoid them because you start paying halfway through dialling and get charged even if the call is not connected), I'd try another one now rather than throwing more money away (you must have paid at least £1.08 in call set-up fees to BT by now).

OTOH, https://www.18185.co.uk is much more reliable.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Surely the same happens with BT as well? I checked my itemised bill and found two calls - both with a duration of 00.00 and both costing 15p. I remembered both calls I rang my mobile after adjusting it (due to hearing aid problems:o) just to check I could hear it. I emailed BT and got a reply saying this was because I had been connected to the mobile network - great eh? I am no longer with BT :D.

I used to use 18185 all the time, but didn't on these two occasions because I knew the phone wouldn't be answered. I would also recommend them for all calls to mobiles.
Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever :D
