Dog - poorly paw & ear infection - no insurance.

Oh dear I hope you get him sorted quickly. It's very painful when us humans get ear infections but animals cannot tell you how much pain they are in. Your vets may let you pay in installments but as you are new to the area they could say no. I doubt they will let your dog be in pain so fingers crossed they will.
Do also try the RSPCA, PDSA and the Celia Hammond Trust even if they will not help it's worth a try.0 -
The RSPCA have clinics...free ones. You make a donation (suggested at 5 quid last time I was in one some time ago).
You may have one in the phone book.
Hope the little one is soon better.

That's a change from the RSPCA. When I was on SSP and waiting for a Housing Benefit decision, not only did the PDSA tell me to stop wasting their time over the phone, the RSPCA told me that I had to go to the PDSA. When I said they wouldn't treat the cat (she had suddenly halved her body weight and her fur was falling out over a course of 5 days), the RSPCA said, 'well, if you're that bothered about it, you'll just have to bring it to one of our shelters and sign it over for rehoming - if we've got enough money in the budget, the vet might decide it's worth treating'.
The lady on the phone at Cats Protection cared enough to call her husband's cousin, who volunteered for Celia Hammond, to ask if they could help. Took a 3 hour trip on 7 buses to them. Nightmare journey, but they treated her for £30.
I hate the RSPCA.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Poor little soul, he may have a real problem with that leg and ear. If you cant afford vet treatment, would it be best to consider finding a rescue to take him on?
Try ringing the local Citizens advice bureau in case they know of any vets or organisations which help those on benefits.

I hate the RSPCA.
Another anti-RSPCA person based on one event. Did it ever occur to you that the RSPCA get flooded with people expecting their pets to be treated because they haven't got insurance and can not afford to treat the pets they have? As well as the endless queue of people who thought it would be fun to get a cute little puppy or kitten but then decided actually they didn't want it? Then everyone is queuing up to bash them. No wonder some people at the RSPCA get a bit fed up with humans.0 -
Oh, I was hoping for an update on this little dog.0
