Hi MinniMe.
Have you put your complaint in writing to the correct person. Your employment manual should tell you who to direct it to.
Detail in the letter, in a very factual way, the series of events. Then explain the solution that you feel should have been followed.
Read through the entire section in the employment manual about it and follow it as well as you can. Don't be afraid to push a little. I've backed down far too easily in the past and wish I hadn't.
Your company should explain to you why they do not have a process in place for events such as postal strikes. At my firm, both here and in the UK, scanned copies of the receipts, with the originals to follow would suffice in such an event. After all, if your claim was fraudulent they would discover this in less than a month and reclaim the money from your next pay cheque.
I'm not clear on the legal issues surrounding this, but you certainly have a right to complain. We have HR guru's on here, don't we? (God, I wish my memory was better sometimes!)February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I know who Skunk Anansie is - it's that band that's got that bald woman with the big mouth in! Remember them from the 90's, didn't realise they were still around. Hope you enjoyed the concert FF!

Hi all, PAD £198.77 to T-mobile today - no, not a phone bill:eek:, but to cancel my mobile contract. I was paying £25.00 monthly and not using anywhere near the allowance, so in effect was wasting money. So I cancelled my contract early and will now do PAYG and save some money each month.Total Debt:£17,580.83:eek:

I had an AMAZING time! I lived in the middle of nowhere when they were big in the 90s and didn't get the opportunity to see them live. They were fabulous last night - I still want to be Skin (the lead singer) when I grow up
