  • Woohooooooo !!
I've just checked Saturday's numbers and I've won the lottery.
It's not too hard to keep my feet on the ground and I promise the tenner won't change my life. In fact I spent nearly that much this morning on Christmas knicknacks from the various pound shops ;)

Wow you nearly had me going there :D

£10 is not to be sniffed at :T

    £1.07 for me today thanks.

Took my little toddler girl to see Father Christmas at Harrods today. Even I thought the Wizard of Oz theme was a little odd! Well, to cut a long story short she hated Father Christmas and told him so in no uncertain terms whilst crying hysterically. My husband says I mean to make her go and see him - see has cried the last two times we saw him! Ah, well maybe next year.

It's true, I am not far away at all. The flight is quick, it's all the faffing around before and after that takes time. The flight time is only 50 minutes!!

My brother, his wife and their kids are the only one's who are (a little) further away. Takes about an hour to drive to them. Although, my parents just moved and are now closer to them but further away from my other siblings. lol. The rest all live in the same town we grew up in.

I understand a little why they've stayed there, because it's where they grew up, unfortunately the area is not what it used to be. The High Street is slowly fading away and the McDonald's is becoming overrun with chav's hanging around outside asking every passerby 'got a spare fag mate' - best reply -'No, I don't. Why would I go in and ask for 19 and a spare one for the kid outside?'. hahaha, maybe I'm just mean.

Anyway, I miss the people, but not the town. I much prefer somewhere like Bath. Beautiful town! And the kids there, who like tothink they are chavs, really aren't! lol

Ahh, I'm soo looking forward to seeing everyone. Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!!!! :j:j:j

I only moved 15miles away from the town I grew up in...still far enough way from the ole parentals though!!

The town I live in now though used to be a village, there's a subway here and a posh coffee shop...that would have been unheard of a few years ago. My house is built in the meadow I used to play in when I was a kid and we were through visiting my auntie, oh how times change! We can't even drive down the street anymore without wondering what will next be thrown at the car...it was a Tesco Value yoghurt last time :(

Sorry to hear flower, hope all is OK. Always a sad time but somehow even worse so near to Xmas.

    That is so true Andy.

There was a nasty car crash a few hundred yards from us the other day, a mum and her 2 boys were killed as they were leaving the area to go home after delivering xmas presents. What made it even worse was that the kids weren't strapped in...won't go into detail about what happened to them/where they were found but it was terrible, always makes me sad when I hear about things like that.

Oh God, that is terrible. I used to work with kids carseats and have seen the horrors. To anyone reading this, please make sure that any child you know is strapped in a carseat that has been correctly fitted - that's almost as important as having one. RIP to that poor family....

I have to say the SASH TWINS do freak me out! Their timing is supernatural!!
I'm starting to imagine them as the twins in The Shining! (redrum) :o:rotfl: Just kidding ladies - but it sure is weird!
