Soak lamb in cold water with a little salt for a while (No idea why, dad suggested it. I think to get some of the blood out...?)
Chuck in slow cooker with onion, veg if required and stock (Made from stock cube and 1/3 pint water) Add herbs/garlic/whatever you fancy.
Leave on medium setting (Mine has high medium and low) all day. I will do this about 8am before work and eat at six.
Can't see why beef would be different...0 -

Searched forums and came up with this:
Beef Pot Roast
6 points per serving. Serves 8.
Season 1 ¾ kg (4lb) of boneless, lean beef roasting joint with black pepper. Place 2 onions, chopped, 2 sticks of celery, chopped, 4 cloves of garlic, crushed, 4 large carrots, peeled and sliced and 250g (9oz) potatoes quartered, in a slow cooker and place the roasting joint on top. Meanwhile, in a bowl, (I’d go for jug) mix together 300ml ½ pint beef stock and 3tsp tomato puree and pour over the roast. Cook on low for 8-10 hours0 -

Thank you for that! I wasn't sure how much liquid I'd need to use but half a pint doesn't seem very much, do the natural juices come out?Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Om nom nom!
Can I come round for tea? :A0 -
flying_fresian wrote: »Any more than that and it swims in the liquid. You will find that you have leftover liquid anyway. As the slow cooker is low heat, the liquid doesn't evaporate. It just sort of [strike]loiters around[/strike] *insert scientific term here* and keeps the meat joint moist.
