Balance transfer from my wifes credit card.

Options
Can i transfer my wifes credit card (only in her name) balance to my new 0% balance credit card, again only in my name.

    in general yes..they usually only need the 16 digit cc number

    Agree with Clapton, with one proviso - the two cards need to be issued by different credit card companies. You cannot transfer a balance directly from an MBNA card to another MBNA card for example, regardless of whose name each card is in.

    Yes, you cannot transfer balances between cards underwritten by the same bank (This would be paying 'em off with their own money.)

    Yes you can but you will be liable for the debt no matter what happens. As someone has already said you need the 16 digit card number and it can't be underwritten by the same bank.
