Positive praise for Barclays!

Another good word for Barclays. I went bankrupt just over a year ago - am self-employed with fluctuating income - this didn't change after bankruptcy of course. Opened a Co-Op account at the time and they have been lovely and very helpful BUT have now had 2 DDs bounced, and fearing a 3rd is sort of inevitable at some point (even though I get to pay £19 for each one, so they do make money out of it!) I thought I had better try to open a Barclays account in case. Last Friday I went in to see them and the "Personal Banker" was extremely kind and helpful/unfazed. None the less, apparently because I had had a Barclay card debt included in the bankruptcy "the computer said No", but she immediately appealed (online) and this morning phoned to tell me the account was all set up and ready to go. I thought that was very good service, and it is also a huge relief.
I wish the CoOp wasn't so strict with its 3 strikes rule, but there you go. Church mice can't be choosers, apparently.0
