Accepting money orders?

A lady from Canada has just sent me an ebay message asking if she buys one of my items will I accept money orders as payment.
Is it safe to accept money orders? With all the scams that go on i'm not sure! I was going to say yes as long as the money order is in pounds but then my friend said people can reclaim money orders after the goods have been sent, does anyone have any experience of this?

They should not be able to reclaim the money after you have cashed it at a post office. Hwoever make sure she sends you it in sterling and sends one that can be negotiated outside Canada. A lot of Canadian money orders can only be cashed within Canada.

Accepting money/postal orders from Canada should be OK because the buyer can actually buy the money order in GBP so you won't have to pay to transfer the money into £.
I was not aware of money orders being reclaimed.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I think that the money orders purchased at a Canadian Post Office in UK sterling are fine and can be cashed at a Post Office here or banked, just like UK postal orders. The sender pays the fee when they buy the MO, rather than the recipient.0
