WARNING????
IMO ........this is basically a cheap haircut [prob with the lowest/youngest trainee], a slap of makeup and then a few pics.
The big con is the hard sell that will undoubtedly come on the photos........1st is 'free' then it's £150 for the next one........it's Olan Mills etc all over again.
Of course I could be wrong...0 -

Why do you need to pay a deposit if you have bought the gift package?
Please note that in order to limit non-attendance the supplier will request a £25 deposit on booking which is fully refundable within seven to ten working days.
Do they hard sell on the photos?
Any idea how to find out what salon they use in Cardiff for the hair cut?
Also it states comp photo but you have to pay £5 for it to be posted to you.0 -
I was looking more at the Spa expiriences personally! They seem like a good deal.Best 2018 wins: £1500, £500 John Lewis voucherBest 2019 wins: 18 of the latest DVDsBest 2020 wins: £100 cash 2021 wins: 130 books 2021 wins: Jubilee silver necklace 2023: 8xfootball shirts, Spar vouchers, £200 Tesco voucher,0

I used the NewID experience with my mum, cousin and aunt about 4 years ago and the experience was excellent; the makeup, hair styling and nails before hand were good, the photographer was really professional BUT they did give you the hard sell afterwards, if you stick to your guns (or better yet, don't take a credit card) then you'll be fine. We ended up buying a CD with all the photos and the rights to use them but not because of the hard sell, because all the photos were SO good we couldn't even narrow it down to 10 letalone one, it was .. well.. a lot of money but it was actually well worth it looking back.0

This is purely to make sure you actually turn up for your hard sell experience sorry, makeover appt. The photo people prob don't get any of the £9.50, it's a loss leader for them so they are desparate to make sure you attend.0 -
Wow, chill out people, just because a business is trying to make some money it doesn't mean you have to panic or buy anything.
I bought my mum one of these for Mother's day from Lastminute.com, she really enjoyed it actually. She got a decent cut, make up and appeared to have a great deal of fun and got a free pic out of it at the end of the day.0 -

People are only pointing out to those that may be unaware, that these photo shoots do end in the hard sell, i have seen it myself and it really is hard sell.
Its only fair that its pointed out that this may happen here.0 -
