Are VHS Videos so obsolete they are only landfill fodder?

I've got 200+ home recorded VHS videos (tv shows, not personal stuff). I can't find anywhere to recycle them. They have zero value, 100 don't even sell on ebay for £1.99. Does anyone have any suggestions that would avoid sending them all to landfill. Extra points for any suggestions that might earn me a little money for them!
