Hi
I am looking to go to Australia July 2010 flying into Brisbane or Sydney. Looking at current prices they are about £1300 at the moment through a travel agent. Does anyone know of any cheaper options/decent airlines that I can book direct with.
Any help would be most appreciated.

That seems really expensive - there are flight to both SYD and BNE for under £900 return in July from LON, are you restricted to certain dates?, is it a one-way or return? where are you travelling from?0

have a look at www.airasia.com . They fly from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. There you can connect onto a flight to Coolangatta on The Gold Coast about one hour drive south of Brisbane.
I did a quick check on Air Asia's website for May 2010. STN-KUL return £392.00 inc Taxes. KUL-OOL return £192.00 inc taxes. Hope this helps0 -
Look at flying to somewhere in the Far East or Asia & see whether you can get on one the cheap airlines to Oz - Virgin Blue, Asia Air or Jetstar .... might be cheaper that way.

If your prepared to fly out June 20th or earlier, Quantas has just announced special deals to Sydney. Think it was about 690 pounds.
Another idea is to sign up with Quantas, British Airways etc and they will send you emails with special offers.0
