M&S deliveries

Not that it helps in this case but thought it might be worth mentioning that M&S have recently been expanding their collect in store service. After a trial they have now increased the number of stores you can collect your goods in.
I've been in the daft situation of working in one of their stores but having to pay for delivery then wait in all day. Now it looks like I can pick it up any time I'm in town, combining the advantages of web shopping and picking up from a store...just like most other retailers have done for years.0 -
I did look at instore collection, but they don't do it to my nearest M&S (2 miles away) - I'd have to go to another one, which is two bus rides.0

Since I'm guessing it hasn't turned up make sure they refund you the nominated delivery charge - I had a run in with them when I also paid for nominated delivery and it was 2 days later. They tried everything to get out of refunding the charge, even claiming that nominated delivery was "aspirational" not guaranteed - it was absolutely apalling. Haven't used them since0

Update - apparently they tried to deliver it on Friday 30th (the day before it was supposed to come) and said they left a card - however, I had no card (if I had, I wouldn't have waited in for 12 hours on the Saturday!)
I have cancelled it now.
Today I had a card through from HDN for some stuff I ordered from Very, saying they had left the parcel in the garden!0 -
I had an HDNL card from Amazon on Mon. Called and arranged redelivery today and asked the nice girl to put down that i was happy to have them leave it by my garage.
Today... another card saying it's back to the depot!!!
I called and they said it needed a signature. WHY wasn't I told that yesterday? I asked them, as a 'gesture of goodwill' to deliver it on Saturday for free. He went away and spoke to his manager and said that's OK.
I have only had bad experiences with HDNL.Kavanne
