Broken Oven - Repair or Replace?

Hi all,
Our fitted electric oven has just stopped working. Fuses seem fine, but no power is getting through. The oven was here when we moved in and I think it's about 15 years old.
As we live in London it's difficult to find people who will even come out to look at it for a reasonable price and repairs can be extortionate.
Basically I'm wondering if I try to get it fixed is this likely to be a false economy - will it just keep breaking? Or would I be better off getting a cheap new one?
Thanks in advance.
Tim

If the fault is not obvious I would replace it. I have got to the point where I adopt this policy with almost all appliances because of the repair costs.0

You must find out if you have power at the oven, or a new one will not work.......0

yes we just brought one for £230 as they wanted a £90 call out fee, was very easy to fit just 4 screws0

15 years is good for a cooker. Obviously I don't know your cooker etc, but we recently installed a new one in a customers house and it only cost £120 from Howdens. It was a single 13amp built under oven. Its their basic model, but it still cooks a roast and grills bacon! With a cooker that is 15 yrs old, you maybe throwing good money after bad to get it fixed.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

When mine went off like that it was only the element, and it was pretty easy to fix and didn;t cost much.
