Southern
I am a southern customer on a standard tariff. I looked on a couple of comparison sites, and rather than move providers decided to go for southern go direct 2. On these sites it sayes there is a 17% and 17.8% discount on elec and gas, which much reduces the bill. When i go to sign up online at southerns website there is no mention of these discounts in the sign up procedure. I spoke to a southern advisor who confirmed this . She said it was an act of faith to sign up and get the discount which is evidentally a regional thing. Being a pessimist i wonder if i sign up and the discount dosnt happen if i could get out of a contract with them. How do you sign up when you cant find the price. Seems daft to me or am i missing something.

All it says is that it will pay the 3rd party commission back to you over the period of the contract, but fails to specify the amount, or how. There is a lock in until Jan 2011.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Southern Electics Gas is not a bad price, but the EDF V5 tariff runs rings around their elecric prices - Go to the switchsites and get prices for just for your Gas, then just your Electric and then Dual Fuel - It's quite an eyepener0
